<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: left;">When Gia Montgomery's boyfriend, Bradley, dumps her in the parking lot of her high school prom, she has to think fast. After all, she'd been telling her friends about him for months now. This was supposed to be the night she proved he existed. So when she sees a cute guy waiting to pick up his sister, she enlists his help. The task is simple: be her fill-in boyfriend—two hours, zero commitment, a few white lies. After that, she can win back the real Bradley.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: left;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: left;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: left;">The problem is that days after prom, it's not the real Bradley she's thinking about, but the stand-in. The one whose name she doesn't even know. But tracking him down doesn't mean they're done faking a relationship. Gia owes him a favor and his sister intends to see that he collects: his ex-girlfriend's graduation party—three hours, zero commitment, a few white lies.</span><br style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: left;" /><br style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: left;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: left;">Just when Gia begins to wonder if she could turn her fake boyfriend into a real one, Bradley comes waltzing back into her life, exposing her lie, and threatening to destroy her friendships and her new-found relationship.</span></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: left;"><br /></span></i></div>

<i><span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: left;"><br /></span></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-size: 14px; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I downloaded the sample of this and loved it so much I bought the whole thing. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-size: 14px; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It starts off with Gia standing outside her high school just about to go to her prom, when her college boyfriend Bradley dumps her.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: white; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="color: #181818;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">In steps Hayden who has witnessed the scene from his car. He saves the night by pretending to be Bradley so Gia's friends don't mock her and from there develops a wonderful story.</span></span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: white; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="color: #181818;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><br /></span></span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 14px;">I loved how likeable the characters were and how well they progressed through the story. Gia starts off as very superficial but begins to see how empty her life has been through meeting new friends.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 14px;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 14px;">Hayden is a great book boyfriend and you fall instantly in love with his gentleman manners and how he treats his sister and Gia, even as friends.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 14px;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">You have a villain in Jules, she wants to take Gia's friends from her and will do just about anything to sabotage her friendships and relationships. As much as I disliked her, I felt she also had a story to her as well that we didn't get to fully see.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 14px;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">I felt the book was a bit on the short side but it fitted the story just perfectly. None of it seemed rushed or over stretched. </span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 14px;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">One character i fell instantly in love with was Bec, Haydens younger and very over-protective sister. A companion novel showing her story would definitely be something I would pick up.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><br /></span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Over all i really loved this book and couldn't put it down. I would really like to see Hayden and Gia's relationship progress and I do feel there is more to be told for them. With Gia and Hayden going off to college, her relationship with her friends not quite yet mended, i think there is plenty of potential for sequel! </span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<b>**PLEASE NOTE THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOLERS** </b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: purple;"><b><i>With the freedom of the kingdom at stake, can an accursed prince and a
broken beauty move beyond their hatred for one another, not only to
break the curse, but to find love as well? <br /><br />Prince Everard’s
father spent the boy's youth forging the prince into a warrior. Upon the
king’s death, however, Everard realizes he’s lost himself somewhere
along the way, and in his pain, makes a decision that brings a dark
curse upon both him and the great Fortress that has so long guarded the
people of Destin. <br /><br />The prince's sin doesn’t simply affect those
of his citadel, however. Isa, the daughter of a local merchant, has
suffered the prince’s hasty temper before, and it changed her life
forever. When Everard’s final outburst cuts off his people’s source of
protection with the curse, he demands that she, a crippled commoner,
comes to help him break it. All the while, Destin’s northern enemy
crouches at the foot of the Fortress’s mountain, waiting for the right
moment to capture the stronghold that has stood for a thousand years.<br /><br />Can
Ever and Isa move past their brokenness to save Destin together, or
will they and their beloved kingdom remain under darkness forever?</i></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>With Beauty and the Beast being one of my all time favorite stories I have read many re-tales.</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>This is a brilliant re-telling and one I know I will read again. </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>The story started off different than other re-tales. Where most start off with the Prince already cursed, this version actually introduces you to the Princes when he is just a boy, which was a nice surprise. </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>Instead of being introduced to the 'Beauty' first, Brittany opens the book with Prince Everard (Ever), where we see him for the boy he is, trying to become the man his father wants him to be.</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>Interestingly Brittany had decided that the King and Prince have powers of blue flames granted to them by the fortress that is their kingdom. And Ever seems to be the strongest one for generations. This aids them in battle and also allows them to heal injuries. </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>A rather unfortunate meeting with Isabelle -who is playing the Beauty of the story-leaves the prices despising her for years, even though he doesn't see her again for more than a decade.</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>The book then moves onto the boy now turned into a respected Prince and solider, preparing to choose a bride. </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>Here we are introduced to Nevina, who is the main antagonist. She wields a dark power compared to Ever's own blue fire, which allows her to create nightmares and torture her foes, even friends. She had attended Ever's ball hoping that he would forget the torment she caused him as a child and pick her as his wife. When she realizes this is not going to happen, she declares war on Ever and his Kingdom.</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i><br /></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>The king falls in the attack on Nevina, meanign Ever must now become king. However, he has become someone the fortress believes unfit to rule. At the coronation, the fortress refuses him and sends the land into darkness. The only way to regain his lands and finally defeat Nevina is to break the spell. </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i><br /></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>Another twist that Brittany puts in her book, is making the Beauty imperfect. Isabelle has never been beautiful, her wrist and ankle were beyond repair when they were broken by a horse when she was child. <br />She walks with a limp and cannot do the tasks that other women can due to her damaged hand. </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i><br /></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>After her fiancee leaves her she thinks she has no purpose anymore. Then her father seeks shelter from the snow storm in the fortress where the cursed Prince demands that he send his daughter to him in three days. </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i><br /></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>Prince Ever hopes Isabelle will be the one to break the curse. Isabelle doesn't even know where to begin. She despises the Prince. </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i><br /></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>But perhaps he was not the man she had thought he was all this time. </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>Overall, with the new elements that the author has added to her characters, and the story she has created kept me hooked until the end. </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i><br />The only minor I can point out is that she seemed to refer to her character by the wrong name at one point. It is stated within the first few chapters of the book that Prince Ever's mother is named Queen Louise, but then half way through the book she is referred to as Queen Monica, then at the end she is Queen Louise again.</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>Just a minor point and nothing that ruins the book. </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>If you love fairy tales then this is a book you will certainly enjoy.</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><i>Better yet, it has TWO sequels which I will be moving onto soon. </i></span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b> "</b></span><i><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b>For the first time, I understood reality could be so much lovelier than dreams"</b></span></i></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Dragon Rose is a book from the Tales of the Latter Kingdoms series by Christine Pope.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">If you like re-telling of classic Disney stories but with a new twist then this series is something you should definitely have a look at. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">At the beginning of the book we meet Rhianne, the eldest of 4 daughters who is being courted by a much older man, hoping she will marry him. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Her mother thinks this is a good suit for her daughter, but Rhianne has different ideas. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Selflessly saving her best friend from a marriage to the Dragon of Black's Keep, Rhianne offers herself as his bride.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">There are lots of stories about how the Lord of Black's keep became a dragon, everyone knows he was cursed, but no one knows why or how to break the curse. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Will Rhianne be the one to break it? Or will she perish like his many brides before her? </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></span>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><i><b>"No, Rhianne" he exclaimed, and his arms tightened around me. "Fight it. You must fight it, my darling."</b></i></span></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Christine Pope keeps you immersed in this story with great characters and a story line that will have you hooked. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Her writing keeps the book flowing at a great pace and doesn't go to heavy into things that will never concern the character again.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">As much as Lord Theran, the Dragon of Black's Keep is a private character you feel you get to know him well enough to want him to get his happy ending, but he is still held back from the reader a great deal so to keep the mystery surrounding him and his curse. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">The only thing I would have liked to have seen more of was the Dragon form itself, it appears only twice in the whole book and only for a paragraph or two at most. The rest is Theran in his human form.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Also the only interaction Rhianne and Theran had was when they had dinner together at night. It would have been interesting to see the characters together in a different inviroment. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">at the end you never hear what happens to the servants with their new Lord and how they have reacted, which would also have been nice to see. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Over all it was an very enjoyable read and I am certainly going to be picking up the other stories in this collection!</span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I know this book was released a while ago, but I am just trying to get through my "to read" pile and this is one I have been meaning to get to for a while.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In <i>Cursed </i>we meet Ember, a girl who died in a tragic car accident with her father but was brought back to life by her younger sister Olivia. Now anything that Ember touches... dies.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Understandably, she has become withdrawn from society because of this and spends most of her time being mother to her younger sister as her own mother is unable to do so. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Whilst out grocery shopping with Olivia her ex boyfriend -who she has a rather hostile relationship with- comes over to her and after a verbal argument, ends up touching her, causing his death. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This leads to Ember and her family being taken in by Cromwell. A man who has a gift of his own and houses other children with gifts. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">There she meets Hayden, Cromwell adopted son who also has a gift. Cromwell wants his son to stay away from Ember for his own safety since she can't control her gift. But Hayden is too curious to listen and believes he can help Ember control it. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Reading <i>Cursed </i>I wasn't as normally excited as I normally get reading a Jennifer Armentrout book. Usually, I can't put it down until its finished. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">She is one author who is really good at finishing all points and not leaving anything unanswered, yet when I finished this book I immediately looked online to see if there was a sequel. I was sure there hadn't been a sequel released and I couldn't find one either yet there seemed to be two things I noticed that were left unanswered. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">1/ They thought the teacher was the one responsible for the crash and her fathers death but he says that he had nothing to do with it. So who was it? </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">2/ At the end when Ember is in hospital she vaguely regains consciousness and there is a woman talking to Cromwell dad about her being very important and she cannot be harmed.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It seemed that Jennifer Armentrout intended for there to be a sequel but it hasn't happened yet and I am unsure whether one is planned. (please someone correct me if I am wrong about any of this)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Over all the writing was very good and the plot was interesting. So I am giving this book a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. I would be really interested in a sequel or novella to complete this story </span></div>

<br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I noticed on a Facebook post that this book was now free. The blurb sounded good so I decided to download it. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I have to admit though that I have given up on it as of Chapter 9.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">There were a few things that i didn't like about this book. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The first being that Jefferson and Ellie and brother and sister, and due to their terrible upbringing by an alcoholic mother they are pretty close siblings.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">However, at times I felt like there relationship was just <i>too </i>close for siblings.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Some examples are : </span><br />
<br />
<ol>
<li><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Jefferson calls Ellie honey. A whole damn lot. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In one chapter he lifts her hand and kisses it! (yes, kisses it! I'm sure it's the back of the hand as well)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Ellie says (in chapter 3 i think) that Jefferson is "the most handsome man" she had ever seen (girl that's your brother!)</span></li>
</ol>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">One of the other let downs of the book was that the first few chapters are repetitive as well. You get one chapter from Ellie's point of view. Then you get the same chapter from Gunners point of view. So you are re-reading all the same dialogue again, the only thing that is new is you see what Gunner and Jefferson were doing before coming to save Ellie and you get to hear Gunners feelings. The chapter from his point of view was just not needed i felt. Would have perhaps been good as a bonus scene at the end or on the authors website. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Another thing that bothered me was that i was on chapter 9 and the book was still on the same afternoon/night. You hadn't even read on to the next day yet, so to me, the book was just going far too slow.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It is constantly shoved down your throat that Jefferson is major protective of his sister and has kicked guys asses before because of the way they have treated Ellie. Ellie tells you this, Ari, Ellies friend tells you this. Then you hear from Gunners POV how many times Jefferson has threatened bodily harm to any of his friends if they try it on with his sister, and has even gone to the extent of not even letting any of them meet his sister. Including Gunner his best friend of 3 years whom he lives with. Then on the first day (as stated the only day I read about in the book) Ellies boyfriend gets caught cheating and she punches him in the face, majorly hurting her hand and Jefferson and Gunner have to take her to hospital. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Gunner realizes he is head over heels for a gal he has known only a matter of hours, and tells Jefferson he is attracted to his sister and after all the protectiveness crap you have had to read and hear about time and time again, Jefferson is okay with it!! (What the heck!?).</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">His reason being that Gunner is the only guy he would trust with his sister. Which doesn't explain why he has let the guy meet her in 3 years!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">As far as Gunner is concerned you get told many times (again in the same day within the book) that he has an erection at the slightest thing Ellie does. I am sure it was mentioned 6 or 7 times at least that he was turned on because she smiled or ate or blinked! He even has to leave the room on a few occasions because of it.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">All in all the only thing i am happy with about this book was that it was free. The book has just been re-edited as of 2015 so i dread to see what the old edited edition was like</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I started writing this review with an idea of 3 stars as the rating but after thinking more of the book and the things that bothered me with it. The rating has dropped to 1.5</span><br />

<i><b>"Caine Carraway in a business suit was gorgeous. Caine Carraway out of a suit was sexy as hell."</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1413500793l/23355069.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1413500793l/23355069.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
What a roller coaster of emotions this book takes you through.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
At times I think I was more in love with Caine than Alexa and then other times all I wanted to do was knock some sense into him.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Caine doesn't think her deserves love or happiness due to decisions he has made in his past. The last person he was expecting to change this was Alexa Holland, the girls whose father ruined his life and started him on his journey of being alone.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Samantha writes this book beautifully. The book takes you through every emotion imaginable, pain, hurt, loss, love, laughter, regret, but you never feel overcome by them as there is humor placed at just the correct moments. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The chemistry between Caine and Alexa is so well written and she was the perfect counter for his dominant male attitude. One of the main things I enjoyed about their relationship was that she pulled him up if he was out of order or crossed the line and the outcomes were very entertaining.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Caine is the first character I have read who I seriously think could over take Braden from <i>On Dublin Street </i>and we all know how much he is adored by Samantha's readers. I still can't decide which one I like best. It would be seriously epic just to sit them two down and see how they interact with one another. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have to say though my favorite character was Effie, the elderly neighbor who lives next to Caine. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
She was just hysterical and eccentric. Delivering humor at the right moments. Some of the things she came out with made me laugh out loud.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b>"Don't," I pleaded. "He told me to my face that he doesn't love me. I don't need false hope from you."</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b>Effie scowled. "No, you need a swift kick up the ass."</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
If you are a fan of Samantha Young's <i>On Dublin Street </i>series, then you will definitely love <i>Hero </i>this is a book you just don't want to end.</div>

<i>"You will only risk your life trying to escape, Sofia. So let's make this simple.</i></blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="text-align: center;">
<i>Don't ever try it again."</i></blockquote>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/81AliDvq1JL._SL1500_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/81AliDvq1JL._SL1500_.jpg" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I bought this book after seeing it advertised on my facebook page. Not going to lie at first I was worried that it was going to be some odd vampire version of<i> Fifty Shades of Grey. </i>Thankfully, it wasn't. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I must say I am now completely hooked on this series!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">One of my favorite things when reading a book is when the author doesn't fill the first few chapters of the book with a lot of mindless information about the characters, as if they are trying to catch you up with the last so many years of their lives until the moment your reading from. I usually give up pretty fast with books like that.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Bella Forrest, doesn't do this. She gives slight bits of information throughout the book but still not to much that you feel like you can predict the character.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The main characters she gives us in <i>A Shade of Vampire </i>Sofia and Derek. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Sofia has crossed the boundary and fallen in love with her best friend Ben. She isn't very confident and practically hides in Ben's shadow.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">One bad decision to walk to the beach ends up with her being kidnapped and taken to The Shade. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">An Island that his hidden from humans where a coven of vampires reside. Including Prince Derek, newly awoken from hundreds of years of slumber.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The pairing between these two just fits perfectly. I loved the fact that Derek was no force to be reckoned with but at the same time was affectionate and caring. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">He can't understand how Sofia has got his feelings mixed up the way they are, but one thing is for sure. He will protect her at all costs.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Sofia comes out of her shell on the Island, befriending the guards and acting as carer for other human girls that were kidnapped at the same time as her. At the beginning of her time on the Island she realizes that her best chance of survival is to remain in Derek's good graces. He is after all the Prince and strongest vampire on the Island. But spending time with him makes her see he still has a sense of humanity in him, and soon she comes to realize she wants to please him but she genuinely cares for him and how he cares for her.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">However, there wouldn't be a story without danger. Lucas, Derek's elder brother was the one that kidnapped Sofia and he wants her for himself. She can't be safe with him around but she can't bare the thought of leaving Derek's side.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I will defiantly be continuing with this series and can't believe it has taken me so long to come across it. It's already at book 10!!!</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Please note there are slight spoilers in my review</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I must admit this book was hard to stick with, but I kept thinking give it more time. However, even up to chapter ten I was considering giving up. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
At the start it just seemed very slow starting and having no direction, as though the author was just writing anything until they got to the more action parts of the book. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I found some conversations just went on and on and talking about things that were completely irrelevant.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Parts of the book were very poorly written and there seemed to be far too much<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;"> of so-and-so said, then so-and-so said, and then some responses to conversations made no sense what-so-ever!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">The parts of the book where one character was texting another seemed to go on forever and was just dragged out to long. Example :</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;"><i>miss you</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;"><i>miss you too</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;"><i>bye </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;"><i>bye </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">(and that is a short example)</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;"><i><br /></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">Some things were also very unbelievable. In one scene Skylar goes to buy everyone beer and when she gets asked for ID her thought is : "I forgot i couldn't buy beer because i had never bought one before"</span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">Really? Come on. She randomly forgot she was 18. It would have been more believable if she has said she forgot her fake ID or something. </span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">In another scene Mason saves Skylar from one of his brothers, asks her to stay in his bed with her so he can protect her and then wakes up in the morning and has no idea why she was there<br />Fair enough he was drugged but when she says about his brother he remembers instantly. (not something you would forget in a hurry)</span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">The story didn't really hold my attention at all, the ending is left on a big cliff hanger but even that isn't making me consider reading the next book</span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;"><br /></span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">Two of of five stars for this one!</span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;"><br /></span></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;"><br /></span></span></span></div>

<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I know I have been MIA for several months now. A lot of things happened, the passing of my papa, then my gran being diagnosed with cancer and passing only months later. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">With the shock of everything I decided to just take some time off. I lost count of the number of times I sat down to read or write and just couldn't find myself getting excitied or involved.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Now that I am feeling better I am hoping that this year I will get everything back on track. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">There have been a few books I have read that I never got around to posting reviews for, but because it has been a while I cannot remember enough of them to give a full detailed review, so I don't think that it would be fair to post a review for these books.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Starting now any book I read I will begin reviewing and I am now able to take requests for reviews again also by contacting me at <b>serenamylesbooks@outlook.com</b></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">For now what I would like to do is post a few books that are going to be at the top of my reading list for 2015!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Book number 1: </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>

Vlad's love for his new bride could be the very thing that dooms them
both...</b></blockquote>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I have loved this series from the start and can't wait for the third installment. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> Jeaniene Frost wasn't an author I had read before but since reading this series she is one of my favourite authors around. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I told my friend about this book and she has been hooked on the series ever since as well. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Book number 2: </span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

he brings her to the edge of her patience and waits for her to walk

they begin an intense and all-consuming affair.<br />
Only Caine knows he can never be the white knight that Alexa has always
longed for, and when they’re on the precipice of danger, he finds he’ll
do anything to protect either one of them from being hurt again . . .</b><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">What can I say about Samantha? The first book I ready by Samantha was Moon Spell, which is the first book in her The Tale Of Lunamorte series. That series knocked me off my feet and since then I have read every book she has released. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">With every genre and book she releases she gives you intriguing characters and gripping stories. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I have seen myself buy one her books before even reading what it is about.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">From what we know of <b>Hero </b>it seems like Samantha has done it again and I already have this one pre-ordered. </span><br />

<b><span class="fbPhotosPhotoCaption" data-ft="{"tn":"K"}" id="fbPhotoSnowliftCaption" tabindex="0"><span class="hasCaption"><span class="text_exposed_show">I
grew up with three brothers. They weren’t tied to me by blood, but our
connection went beyond genetics or bearing the same last name. Our
connection was forged the summer I turned thirteen, the summer my mom
ended her life and left me in the custody of John Armstrong, a man I’d
never met. Packing all I owned in a couple of boxes, I left the
familiarity of the big city and headed west to Red Mountain Ranch, set
in a lonely valley outside of Jackson Hole. <br /> <br /> Nothing was as it
seemed at Red Mountain—it didn’t take long for me to figure that out.
John was kind to me but distant, as if he was afraid to let anyone get
too close. His three teenage sons had their own devices for keeping love
as far away as they could. The eldest distracted himself with cheap
relationships that had a shelf-life of one night. The middle son threw
himself into the rigor of running a ranch, and the third wielded cruelty
and mind-games in his quest to keep people from getting close. <br /> <br /> Time has gone by, and I’ve spent those years trying to forget the brother I’d fallen for—the biggest mistake of my life. <br /> <br />
Finally, I’ve moved on. Finally, I’m back. But what I didn’t realize
was that running away from the wrong brother meant I’d also run away
from the right one. The one who’d been there for me all along, waiting
in his brother’s shadow for the day I either would or could move on.<br /> <br />
But a decade is a long time to wait. Has the brother I should have
chosen all of those years ago moved on too? Am I about to discover that
my biggest mistake wasn’t falling in love with the wrong brother, but
failing to return the love of the right one sooner?<br /> <br /> Does unrequited love have an expiration date? <br /> <br /> I’m about to find out.</span></span></span></b></div>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">And then Seraphina was gone.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 14.65pt; margin: 0in 0in 12.75pt;">
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">It’s been six years since Fredrik’s
lover and sadistic partner in crime turned his world upside-down. Seraphina
went into hiding and has eluded him ever since. Now, he’s getting closer to
finding her, and an innocent woman named Cassia is the key to drawing Seraphina
from the shadows. But Cassia—after sustaining injuries from a fire that
Seraphina ignited—suffers from amnesia and can’t give Fredrik the information
he desperately seeks. Having no other choice, Fredrik has been keeping Cassia
locked in his basement as he not only tries to get her to recall her
past—because she and Seraphina share it—but also to protect her from Seraphina,
who clearly wants her dead.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 14.65pt; margin: 0in 0in 12.75pt;">
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">But Cassia is a light in the darkness
that Fredrik never believed existed. After a year subjected to her kindness and
compassion, he finds himself struggling with his love for Seraphina, and his
growing feelings for Cassia—because he knows that to love one, the other must
die.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 14.65pt; margin: 0in 0in 12.75pt;">
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">Will light win out over darkness, or
will something more powerful than either further destroy an already tortured
soul?<o:p></o:p></span></div>

skin before placing a soft kiss where my shoulder and neck meet. My body
shivered at his touch and he pulled away again. “You see, your body

again.” He paused, and I stayed quiet, listening to his uneven breaths.
“Feel how your skin tingles when I touch you.” He ran his hand down my
side, his fingers leaving a trail of fire in their wake. “I do that to
you. Me. Why fight this? Why fight something that feels so undeniably
right? You know you want me,” he growled against my lips. “And deep
down, you know you’re already mine.”</span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
I came across Cloak and Dagger in a discussion on Goodreads, when someone recommend I read it. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I shall have to thank them immensely!<i> </i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When we meet Christina Parker her main worries in life are getting through high school and trying to forget the mean things her mom says about her weight. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Unbeknownst to Christina her dad has hacked into the files of an <span id="freeText8980764096450800723">organization of mercenaries called the IMA. The IMA is so powerful even the government denies it exists. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723">Thinking the IMA will come after them, Christina's parents leave her home alone under the pretense that they are going on a holiday.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723">Christina isn't so lucky. </span><br />
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723">Michael Boutilier is the best and always gets results. He kidnaps Christina from her family home and holds her hostage in a safe house for months. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723">But even Michael is being tested by the IMA who believe he plans to take over and run the organization himself.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723">This book was beautiful. Christina wasn't a girl who was going to give up and even though she was scared she fought back against her captors even when the odds were stacked against her. It was a refreshing change from heroines who just hide in a corner until the storm passes.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723">Michael is one of the most intriguing characters i have read this year.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723">Yes, he's hot.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723">Yes, he has his softer moments.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723">But the reader never forgets what Michael is . A killer.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723">What I liked most about his relationship with Christina is you understand where it developed from and the author didn't make Christina try and justify Michael actions to the read. Christina knows what Michael is capable of and fears him along with her growing attraction to him. Understanding, that he is her best option to staying alive, but knowing she is alive only because he wishes it.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723">Michael also knows what he is. He isn't the torn soul trying to do good but keeps doing bad. He's an assassin and has killed men. There is blood on his hands and if he has to he will kill again without hesitation. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723">Normally when reading a series i never go from one book to the next, as i feel it can make the two stories seem like one long never ending one. Saying this, i have already ordered the sequel Armed and Dangerous on paper back.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723">There are only two things i can really fault with this story.</span></div>
<ol>
<li><span id="freeText8980764096450800723">It needs to be professionally edited. The story is let down slightly by the amount of spelling and grammar errors. </span></li>
<li><span id="freeText8980764096450800723"><span id="freeText8980764096450800723">The one things about the
story that confused me is Christina saves her parents when they are
trapped on an Island, but it doesn't tell you how Christinas parents
escaped the Island. Michael and Christina escaped on one of the boats
that Michael had to hot wire. So did her parents do the same?</span></span></li>
</ol>
<br />
<span id="freeText8980764096450800723"><span id="freeText8980764096450800723">Overall though this was an amazing story and one i can't wait to continue. I'm already dreading it ending and i have two more books in this series to read!!</span></span><br />

<span style="font-size: small;"><i><span id="btAsinTitle"><span style="padding-left: 0px;">Light series book 1</span></span></i></span></h1>
<br />
To be honest, i don't know where to start with this one. <br />
For me, it was bad. I only made it to chapter 6 and then gave up.<br />
<br />
We are introduced to Rayne at the start of the book who is starting college against her hippie mothers wishes. <br />
Due to her mothers beliefs Rayne doesn't smoke, drink and has been warned to stay away from boys.<br />
<br />
When Rayne first arrives at college her mothers senses a bad aura so goes around cleansing the halls and gets other students to meditate, which i thought was quite entertaining. Rayne also meets her room-mate (who's name i can't remember) who the author repeatedly refers to being a body double of Blair from Gossip Girl. Which is why i most likely can't remember the characters real name. Fair enough mentioning the similarity the character has to an actress, but within 6 chapters this is mentioned at least once in every chapter. The room-mate often being referred to as 'Gossip Girl' or 'Blair Waldorf's stuntwomen' for me it was just a little OTT. <br />
<br />
One of the characters that i loved was Michelle. Rayne knew Michelle from high school but back then she was known as Michael before her sex change. I have never come across this in a book before so really liked this idea in the book. However, Michelle's outrageous antics and hilarious behavior still wasn't enough for me to continue this story. <br />
<br />
Some of the main points i have regarding the problems of this story are :<br />
<ol>
<li>Rayne meets a boy (can't remember if his name had been mentioned by chapter 6, or if again i have just forgotten it) she falls in love at first sight but holds back because something tells her he's dangerous, and whenever he is around she gets pains in her stomach. I understand that this is something that was going to be developed more in the book, but seemed like a weak reason. </li>
<li>Chapter 5, Rayne is still a virgin, has no plans to lose her virginity, but because she keeps pushing the guy away and is quite mean to him when he is trying to help her - especially when she gets herself plastered in a club. She is feeling bad about herself because of a run in with said guy. Then Chapter 6 hits, Rayne is no longer a virgin and has not only slept with one guy but seems to be getting a few notches on her own bed post. (WTF! moment)</li>
<li>It is then stated that the guy she lost her virginity to - a character we haven't met previously - has been attacked. Her mother calls her as she can sense something has changed in Rayne, but without picking up on the sex thing she says she knows Rayne has eaten meat. </li>
</ol>
Overall, it felt like two different stories that had been plastered together. I actually though i had missed a chapter and back tracked, but i hadn't.<br />
Rayne is very determined in what she wants at college as it is the first time she has been away from her over-protective mother, and without warning that all changes without any build up.<br />
I get the feeling that this is something the author started writing, stopped for a while and then went back to it, but without re-reading what she had already written, as the characters personalities just seem to change like it's a different book being written. <br />
<br />
I'm not even going to give this one star, as i think that is too much for this. <br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>It was love, if ever she had seen it. </i></div>
<br />
This was another one that had been sitting on my kindle for some time. <br />
After finally deciding to read it, i am disappointed i didn't do so earlier.<br />
<br />
At the beginning we meet the celtic woman Arienh. She has assumed the position a man would normally have in her small village after all the men have died. Most due to raids by the vikings, including her own brother, father, her sister was raped by a viking and her other brother was taken by the vikings as a slave.<br />
<br />
Understandably, Arienh has a deep hatred for the vikings. Expect one who she couldn't forget. One that frightful night her brother was killed and her sister was taken against her will, a viking chased Arienh, and if it hadn't been for a young viking boy hiding her and leading the Norse man astray she would have most likely suffered the same fate as her sister. <br />
<br />
Then one day Arienh is going to the stones she stumbles across a viking, in her panic she stabs him and runs away. After discussing it with the woman of the village they give Arienh the task of going back and making sure the viking is dead and if not, to kill him.<br />
<br />
But Arienh isn't like the vikings and refuses to kill him. What she doesn't know is that the viking who she is sheltering in her cottage until he has healed is the viking that saved her all those years ago. Ronan has come back for Arienh, the celtic girl he could never forget. He wants to bring his family to these lands and make a home there. But even when the truth is found Arienh, can't trust the vikings for the memories that others have caused her. However, Ronan isn't going to give up to easily. He will prove to the women of the village and Arienh that his men can be trusted and he won't back down until Arienh is his wife.<br />
<br />
This was a beautifully written story. The characters fitted each other well and the story continued at a good pace, never too slow or too rushed. The author didn't overload you with Norse history but gave you just enough information to understand the world they book was set in.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
I read roughly just over half of this book then stopped.<br />The story itself wasn't bad, but there was nothing really keeping my attention.<br />I was continuing to read just because i had started it, not because i wanted to know what was going to happen to the characters. <br />In truth it just felt like something i have read over and over again.<br />A girl who has been hurt in the past, therefore she doesn't really trust anyone, specifically men. Then she meets a man who is going to change that, but he has his own past to deal with, so to some extent they heal each other, yada yada yada. <br />If you're going to write a story where the plot is popular amongst other books then you have to do something to make your book stand out. <br /><br />For me this just didn't do it.<br /><br />I actually started this review with three stars and ended it with 2. <br />

<b><i>The Assassins Curse</i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>Ananna of the Tanarau abandons ship when her parents try to marry her
off to an allying pirate clan. But that only prompts the scorned clan to
send an assassin after her. And when Ananna faces him down one night,
armed with magic she doesn’t really know how to use, she accidentally
activates a curse binding them together.<br /><br />To break the curse,
Ananna and the assassin must complete three impossible tasks—all while
grappling with evil wizards, floating islands, haughty manticores,
runaway nobility, strange magic, and the growing romantic tension
between them.</i></b>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">I recently bought 'The Assassin's Curse' because I was getting a bit tired of reading the same genres, so decided to try something a bit different. It was a wonderful surprise of a book. I literally couldn't put it down and read it along with the sequel in a few days.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Straight away we meet Ananna and i was instantly sorry for her. She was being forced into an arranged marriage by her pirate parents to the son of other pirates to make an alliance.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The thing i loved most about Ananna is that she isn't a girl who is going to let someone else control her life. Which is why she high-tails it on a camel before she can be married off.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The grooms family however, are too happy about this embarrassment and hire an assassin to find Ananna and kill her. This is how Naji is brought into her life.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">While he is attempting to kill her she happens to save him life. Putting him in her debt and them both on a journey to break Naji's curse. For if Ananna tries to leave Naji or even puts herself in harms way, it causes Naji unbearable pain. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Not only is Naji a great character, but the relationship between him and Ananna is brilliant. He is more than over -protective of her - even going so far as not let her have a weapon - and sometimes you feel it isn't just because of the curse and his worry of being in pain if something should happen to her. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><i>"Give me your sword." </i></span></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><b><i>He slapped the camel's thigh to get it moving again. "Absolutely not." </i></b></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">We continue with these characters in 'A Pirate's Wish.' Ananna knows not without any doubt that she is in love with Naji. But he is an assassin who is forbidden to love. And he does blood magic. Magic she has been told is dangerous. But they still need to break his curse. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">The story continues to take them to dangerous lands and not only is their lives being intrusted to others but their trust in each other is tested. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Naji and Ananna's relationship is a lot more deeper in this book. Both wanting what they can't have and to some extent not even sure of what each other wants.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Ananna constantly surprises Naji. She trusts easily and always seems to bring out a side in people and creatures that he never thought possible. </span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></span><div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">"I think...I think you're beautiful."</span></span></b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"> His face didn't move. "I thought you don't trust beautiful people."</span></span></b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><i><b>"Not beautiful like that. I mean...I don't ever want to stop looking at you."</b></i> </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">The conversations they had and they way they acted with each other was the perfect love/hate relationship that had me in stitches most of the time. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">"For Kaol's sake, Naji, I ain't gonna call down the Otherworld. I just want you to leave me alone!" I whipped my knife at him without thinking. He slid away in a blink. The knife thrummed into the wall.</span></span></b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">"That was unnecessary." He said.</span></span></b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><i><b>"Get out!"</b></i></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Overall, i think both books were very well written. The characters captivated you right from the start. One of the things i like most about the main book was that it started right in the action. You weren't reading three stories waiting for the plot to begin. Brilliant books, top of my favorites list. </span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>"Call me Patch. I mean it. Call me."</i></div>
<span id="goog_1336977261"></span><span id="goog_1336977262"></span><br />
This was another book that i had sitting on my book shelf waiting to be read. Recently i have been in a time where no book can seem to catch my interest. Then <i>Hush Hush </i>came along.<br />
<br />
The story open with a prologue set year before the actually story takes place. It gives you a little look at one of our main characters but at this point you are unaware of which one.<br />
<br />
Then we meet Nora. She lost her dad the year before and just wants to focus on getting good enough grades to get into a good college. Then one fateful day - or rather an annoying biology teacher - brings her Patch. They don't hit it off, especially when he has no interest helping her complete the assignment they have been paired on together to work on. Nora was very likeable for me. She doesn't just let Patch walk over and just because he has a killer smile an gives her butterflies she would rather not have, doesn't mean she just drops to her knees and does anything for him.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>"You're not impressing me."</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>"I haven't started trying yet." </i> </div>
<br />
Patch was hard to work out until almost a third through the book. Even then there were moments that gave you doubt about his character. At times you thought Patch was the romantic lead that was going to come in and save the day, but then other characters make you think that this might not be his role in the book at all. One of my favourite things about Patch was the comments he comes out with to annoy Nora or just to see her blush.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>"-how do you know if she's game or if she wants you to move on?"</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>"I figure out what she's thinking and feeling. She's mot going to come right out and tell me, which is why i have to pay attention Does she turn her body toward mine? Does she hold my eyes, then look away? Does she bite her lip and play with her hair, the way Nora is doing now?"</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i> </i>For me one of the best things about this book was that it was more like three stories/plots in one. You are trying to work out who is trying to do harm to Nora, if Patch is really who you think him to be, and then new friends come into Nora's life who have secrets. I loved the thriller aspect to this story, and from the sneak peak to Crescendo at the end, this is defiantly a series i will be completing. </div>

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NKt6jTdJrUw/UdcPmiymajI/AAAAAAAAAVM/qCkhXWV2q_o/s400/Soul+Ties+Cover.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NKt6jTdJrUw/UdcPmiymajI/AAAAAAAAAVM/qCkhXWV2q_o/s320/Soul+Ties+Cover.jpg" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">At the beginning of the story we meet Ava. She has decided to become a soul-hunter in the hopes of gaining her freedom and bettering her life. But she didn't realize how hard that task was going to be, when Darius gives her the mission or retrieving a Nephilim soul. However, she knows she can't let self doubt cloud her judgement. She has been promised by Darius that this will be the last one, if she completes this mission she gains her freedom. Nephilim or not, his soul was hers.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Keir isn't like the other Nephilim. Instead of taking human souls, he releases souls from demons allowing the souls to be free instead of being captured.The last thing Keir needed was another soul-hunter getting in his way, but when faced with Ava he knows there is more to her than what is on the surface. But can he really risk giving the woman who has come to kill him a chance to change?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Ava thought she knew exactly how to get his soul. What she didn't count on was him being prepared for her. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">With the act of surprise lost to her now and Keir's best friend Dhalia not willing to leave them alone together, Ava knows she is going to have to work harder than ever before to get the soul that will set her free. She has to befriend Keir and get him to trust her, to let his guard down, because she knows she could never win a fight against him. His powers far outweigh her own. What she didn't anticipate was letting her own guard down and trusting Keir. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">As the leading heroine, Ava was very likeable and you learned just enough about her without feeling like you knew her story before the book had even really begun and as events unfold she doesn't know who she can trust. As I went through the story with Ava, even i couldn't decide who side she should be on sometimes. I just loved Keir (who wouldn't?) he saw more to Ava and was willing to put his own life at risk to allow her a chance to see the truth, even when Dhalia tried to convince him that he should get rid of her. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Dhalia was an interesting mix into the book. To begin with I thought i knew exactly what part this character was going to play, but it didn't turn out that wall at all.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Darius, although, not a main presence in the book leaves enough effect to remain a threat to the characters, and isn't forgotten by the reader. Though you don't get to see exactly how powerful Darius is, it is clear he is someone not to mess with. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">One of the other main things i liked about this book, was that it doesn't just focus on the main characters. The support characters have interesting back stories also, that leave the puzzling about where they came from and what their future holds for them. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Overall, this book was very well written, kept you interested. Every time the book seemed to lead a certain way and I felt like I had worked out what was going to happen next, it took a completely different turn and surprised me. A new series i know i am going to become addicted to.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>"Give in to it, angel"</i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
You know how sometimes you find a book, and even after finishing it you just can't let it go? Well this is one of those books. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Reading about this book I knew I would like it, but never to this extent. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
We meet Serah, who is an angel that has chosen to look over children, make sure the evil of the world doesn't taint them. Until she's sent on a mission that seems impossible. Convince Satan to agree to peace. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Going to the gates of hell she finds Satan isn't what she thought he would be at all. He's no monster or devil figure like in the stories, he's a man. A man that you just can't take your mind off either because he's so infuriating or because he makes you see things in a new way. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Perhaps he's not as evil as everyone makes him out to be. Or is he more evil that anyone ever imagined?</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I loved Lucifer and I have to admit, if there <i>is</i> a Hell and Heaven, well if Satan is anything like this Lucifer I'm all for hell....as long as i get to stay in the castle with him though. Fire pits aren't really my thing. And yes there <i>are </i>fire pits. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As a character Lucifer wasn't what i expected either. I was expecting rude, evil and thought i would probably hate him, and while he is rude and evil, he's also cocky and arrogant in the most brilliant way. The things he says had me in stitches and was a perfect counter character for the Serah who was all believing and innocent. Been even Lucifer can make the most patient angel lose patience. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>'Serah.</i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>Lucifer she screamed. I'm coming for you. </i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>"I'll be a son of a bitch," he said, unable to stop the smile from turning the corner of his lips.'</i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>"You're unbearbale." </i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>"You're cute yourself, angel." </i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i> </i>The romance feature of this was perfectly written. Serah finds herself unwilling attracted to Lucifer, but him being Satan and her being an angel isn't the only problem. Serah is the lover the of Archangel Michael, Lucifer's once brother. Trying to convince herself she still loves Michael and her feelings for Lucifer are just a figment of her imagination doesn't work for long. Especially when she starts to see more good in Lucifer than bad. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>'I see beauty and goodness in everything - even you, Luce. And as long as that's there, I can never turn away from it.'</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b> </b></i>Can Satan love? Lucifer didn't think so, he believed all the goodness was taken from him when his own brother cast him into the pits of hell for eternity. But there is something about Serah that he just can't ignore. Her stubbornness to continue to come to the gates of hell everyday and beg him for peace when he has denied her every time, and not been the nicest about it. Her hell bent loyalty to her faith and beliefs. Even with the world falling around her, she believes he will still save it in the end. He wants her, more than he even realized himself. She wants him and he knows it, no matter how much she says different, he can sense it, smell it, fell it from her. And when he touches her, he can feel her surrendering to his touch. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>'his hand ran down her neck, trailing along her chest, between her breasts. "Tell me you feel nothing from that. I fucking dare you."'</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Seven thousand years he waited to take his revenge on the world, on the angels and release the darkness of hell. Now he has that chance, now he can be free from his imprisonment and take the revenge on Michael. But at what cost? Perhaps even the devil can repent. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b> </b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This was beautifully written and I just couldn't put it down until i knew how it ended and i <i>still </i>can't believe how it ended. Anxiously awaiting the sequel!!</div>

<a href="http://i2.wp.com/avasmithdotorg.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/killing_sarai_5resized.png?fit=1000%2C1000" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://i2.wp.com/avasmithdotorg.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/killing_sarai_5resized.png?fit=1000%2C1000" width="211" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">This may be one of the most beautiful covers i have ever seen for a book. Just look at it, it's amazing and one of the main things that instantly attracted me to this book.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">I found out about this story two days before it's release date and i <i>still </i>couldn't wait. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Sarai was taken to Mexico by her mother when she was only fourteen years old, to live with her mothers boyfriend and notorious gang lord Javier. Only Javier liked Sarai more than he liked her mother. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">One night when an American (Victor), the first American Sarai has seen in nine years, she takes this as her chance to escape Javier and the compound she has been held prisoner in since she was fourteen. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Breaking out and sneaking into the American's car, she swaps one bad guy for another, as the American is an assassin. Instead of taking her back to Javier he helps her, and the shotgun Sarai holds to his head had nothing to do with it. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">At first he uses her as leverage to make sure he gets the full amount of money from Javier when he kills his target. Then Sarai becomes a target and Victor feels he has to protect her, that he has to give her a chance at a normal life. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"> Victor could have taken Sarai back, could have used her like Javier used her, could have beaten her or abandoned her. But he doesn't and soon Sarai finds herself falling in love with a killer. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"><b><i>When i look into his eyes i see something there, although dormant and completely indistinct, i know it's there. And it's powerful. I want to understand it, to feel it, to taste it on my lips. </i></b></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"> And just maybe, the man that couldn't feel, couldn't love, is starting to realise he wasn't as protected from her as he thought. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Sarai has slowly but surely broken through Victor's tough defenses and reminded him what it's like to feel for someone. He has to protect her even from his own family. Because God knows he can't kill her, even though he knows he should.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">I <b>LOVED </b>this and i am slowly dying while waiting on the sequel which i hope it out soon!!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">This book takes you on a journey that you won't forget, and i couldn't put this story down. Sarai is a perfect heroine, brave and independent but at the same petrified of the new life she has been handed. Victor teaches her how to survive on her own, and she can do it, she just can't survive without him. And he can't stay. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">A <b>MUST </b>read. One of my tops for 2013</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
